Cubital Tunnel Syndrome
Cubital Tunnel Syndrome is similar to carpal tunnel syndrome, but is caused by compression of the same nerve higher up in the arm, towards the elbow. One can get an idea of this syndrome from knocking on the elbow in such a way as to get the “funny bone nerve” sensation. If this nerve compression is more permanent, it causes numbness and/or tingling, typically in the ring and small fingers. Eventually, the tingling becomes pain and less ability to use those fingers.
